The Moon in Air prefers to intellectualise emotions rather than feel them. Talking (or thinking) out the reasons for any feelings is needed in order to understand them. Honest and open communication can feel a little cold at times.
IN ASSOCIATION WITH...
Gemini: Constantly changing moods figured out by talking through them. Can be erratic and get bored easily.
Libra: Reassured by supportive partnerships - can avoid confrontation and become indecisive.
Aquarius: Intellectualises emotions and places importance on friendships first - can be extremely detached.
ABOUT THE MOON
The Moon represents the emotional and subconscious. The habits we adopt and our way of being when nobody is watching. Like the phases of the Moon, our feelings are also constantly changing day by day. The Moon cards can be telling of the emotional component of a situation - whether a person is feeling confident, or in need of reassurance. The moon is also deeply associated with the mother, women and a persons home. Therefore these cards can also hint at what is going on at home, or with the relationships one has with women.
ABOUT THE INNER PLANETS
INNER PLANETS:
Sun, Moon,
(technically luminaries but will be called planets)
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter & Saturn
Right off the bat, I would like to establish that the Sun and Moon are technically luminaries - not planets (the Sun is a star and the Moon a satellite for our Earth). However, they play a big part in Astrology, alongside the rest of the planets. Therefore, for the sake of cohesion and simplicity, the Sun and Moon are being grouped with the rest of the planets. Also, whilst it is known that the planets (including Earth) revolve around the Sun - in Astrology, the Earth is placed in the middle of the planetary system. This is because when looking at our Birth Charts, or trying to predict patterns, we are looking outwards towards the sky. Tracing the movement of stars and constellations going “around” us.
When looking at a person birth chart, the Planets are closely related to different facets of the persons personality and character. The Sun is concerned with a persons general ego, whilst the Moon is linked with one’s emotional side. Mercury rules a persons intellect/ communication skills, Venus is associated with ones wealth and romance and Mars rules aggression and passion. Jupiter focuses on expansion and good fortune whilst Saturn is linked with a persons discipline and challenges. Each planet ruling over a different trait, and each planet moving at a different speed around the Earth, means the combinations of different planets in different constellations are endless. Each planet travels through the 12 constellations (the Zodiac Signs), meaning the Planets characteristics change according to each sign. Apart from describing one’s personality with these transits - it is also possible to predict event or ‘energies’ happening at a given time. For example, fiery Mars transiting through the philosophical sign of Sagittarius, might be interpreted as a time where people are more prone to argue and debate over their ideals/ethics. In this deck, the zodiac signs have been grouped into the 4 elements. Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Whilst each sign is individual in their attributes, the general disposition of the signs in their respective elements is similar enough. This also keeps the deck at 64 cards - instead of 144!
